Ingredients
For the Spicy Spam Fries: | 1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1 can Spam | 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste) |
1 packet Hop Barons Spicy Seafood Seasoning | 1 tablespoon lime juice |
Cooking spray or a light coating of oil | 1 teaspoon honey |
For the Dipping Sauce: | 1 clove garlic; minced |
Preparation
Preheat Air Fryer/Oven: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes, or preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare Spam: Remove the Spam from the can and cut it into thin fry-like strips.
Season: Place the Spam strips in a bowl or on a plate. Sprinkle the Hop Barons Spicy Seafood Seasoning evenly over the strips, ensuring they are well coated.
Arrange Fries:
Air Fryer: Lightly spray the Spam strips with cooking spray or coat them with a light layer of oil. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
Oven: Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper. Arrange the Spam strips in a single layer on the sheet, ensuring they are not overlapping.
Cook:
Air Fryer: Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the Spam fries are crispy and browned to your liking.
Oven: Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping the strips halfway through, until they are crispy and browned to your liking.
Prepare Dipping Sauce: While the Spam fries are cooking, mix together the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, lime juice, honey, and minced garlic in a small bowl. Adjust the Sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
Serve: Remove the Spam fries from the air fryer or oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with the spicy dipping sauce.
