Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Chicken Ingredients: Pickles and white bread for serving (optional)
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast; cut into bite-sized pieces Glaze Ingredients:
1/2 cup buttermilk 1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup hot sauce 2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 cup Hop Barons Fish Fry 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Hop Barons BBQ Rub & Seasoning 1 tablespoon Hop Barons BBQ Rub & Seasoning
Vegetable oil for frying

Preparation

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and hot sauce.

2. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat.

3. In another bowl, mix together the Hop Barons Fish Fry and Hop Barons BBQ Rub & Seasoning.

4. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk mixture and dredge in the seasoned Hop Barons Fish Fry mixture, making sure each piece is coated evenly.

5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F.

6. Carefully place the chicken nuggets into the hot oil and fry for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.

7. Using a slotted spoon, remove the chicken nuggets from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

8. In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Hop Barons BBQ Rub & Seasoning.

9. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the honey is melted and the ingredients are well combined.

10. Reduce the heat to low and continue to stir the mixture for 1-2 minutes, until it thickens slightly.

11. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the glaze cool for a few minutes.

12. Drizzle the honey glaze over the hot chicken nuggets or serve it on the side for dipping.
