Chili Shatner Nachos
Nachos are a delicious and customizable appetizer or snack, perfect for sharing with friends and family. Crispy tortilla chips are topped with seasoned meat, melted cheese, and your favorite toppings for a crowd-pleasing dish.
Yield: 5 Servings
|1 lb ground beef or turkey
|1 cup diced tomatoes
|1 packet of Hop Barons Chili & Taco seasoning
|1/2 cup sliced jalapeños
|1/2 cup water
|1/4 cup chopped cilantro
|Optional toppings: sour cream; guacamole, salsa
|2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar; Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
Return the skillet to the heat and add the packet of Hop Barons Chili & Taco seasoning along with 1/2 cup of water. Stir well and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Arrange tortilla chips on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Sprinkle the seasoned meat over the tortilla chips, then top with shredded cheese.
Add diced tomatoes and sliced jalapeños on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
Serve immediately with optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
